Drink Culture Tasting Tour
The famous Italian sparkling wine Prosecco is produced under the Bisol brand., as well as a range of still red and white wines from different grape varieties. Traditionally used for making wines in the Veneto province The grape varieties used are Pinot Bianco, Prosecco and Verdicchio. The company's products trace their history back to 1542 in the province of Valdobbiadene (Italy), where Eliseo Bisol founded a family wine-making business. The First World War had a significant impact on the development of the brand. During the fighting, the famous vineyards were destroyed, but already in the 1920s, his son Desiderio began to restore the business. By the end of the Second World War, despite the difficult times, sales of Bisol sparkling wine increased. |
Today, the Bisol vineyards are located on 177 hectares of steep hills, starting from the picturesque slopes of Conegliano. The entire plantation is clearly divided by grape varieties so that they do not mix. This fact testifies to the high quality of the products, since even the planting scheme plays a key role.
Often the quality of wine is significantly reduced due to the fact that each stage of production is carried out by a separate company. Italian winemakers Bisol — одни из немногих, кто контролирует самостоятельно весь процесс производства, начиная от ухода за виноградниками и заканчивая разливом выдержанного вина в бутылки.
The company produces wine using several technologies. One of the most famous is the Charmat method. The process begins with the harvest of the Glera grape variety in mid-September. The grapes are placed in steel vats and heated to a temperature of 8°. The fermentation process takes place over 14 hours. After this, the raw materials are placed in a press, which carries out three pressing cycles. The resulting product is poured into barrels for aging for 20 days. The final stage of production consists of a filtration process and 10-day aging at a temperature of -2°. This is how one of the brand's most popular champagnes is made - Bisol Vigneti del Fol Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG, which is distinguished by a light aroma of wild flowers combined with a hint of strawberry.
The motto of this wine company is "Perfection from Earth to Glass", therefore love and care for the quality of every drop of the drink make Italian sparkling wine perfect.
The skill of the professionals is confirmed by 5 silver awards at the annual wine festival AVC Viena 2012.
The shape and size of glasses haunt designers and fine wine connoisseurs. Which glass to choose so that the wine reveals its aromas better and gives maximum pleasure is a whole science. Quite recently, we, without thinking, took out narrow flute glasses for sparkling wines using the classic method, and now "Decanter" has authoritatively and with full responsibility declared them a relic of the past. The Austrian manufacturer Riedel agrees with this.
If previously they sought to emphasize the refreshing acidity of sparkling wines, now the aroma of wine is also valued, including the fruity component, structure and body.
The flute-shaped glass, stretching and squeezing the wine, does not allow the aromas to open up, which is why many sparkling wine producers now prefer wider glasses.
Some go further by offering specially designed glasses for their wines.

So for Franciacorta fits well slightly elongated and widened tulip-shaped glasses, 87.2 mm in diameter and 237 mm in height.
For sparkling wines Alta Langa in 2012 a unique glass was created according to the project Giugiaro Design, which is intended to highlight the beauty of the perlage, reveal the aromas and promote the Piedmontese sparkling wine market using the classic method. The not entirely elegant shape is explained by the fact that the narrower base helps the bubbles rise, while the wider top reveals the aromas.
The most famous Italian sparkling wine Prosecco also has its own glass, implemented RiedelThe shape of the glass resembles a diamond or rhombus, the maximum diameter is 77 mm, it is recommended to pour wine to this level, in the upper part the diameter narrows to 66 mm, the height of the glass is 222 mm.
Doesn't want to fall behind and Trentodoc, otherwise it would be somehow not comme il faut to drink Ferrari Perle' from Franciacorta glasses. The idea has been floating around for a year, but the new glass has not yet been presented to the public. All that is known is that it should be elegant, wide enough at the base, but not so wide as to spoil the beautiful play of bubbles.
A whole range of cocktails are prepared on the basis of Prosecco Bellini, Rossini, Negroni, these are some of the famous ones.![]()
